Esprit is returning to Canada in 2016

According to CBCNEWS, Esprit is set to return to Canada’s retail scene in 2016. In 2011, Esprit left the Canadian retail scene because “it way losing money in the competitive Canadian and US fashion markets” and shifted its focus to strictly international sales. The strategy seems to be focused on partnering with a Montreal-based apparel companies including Freemark Apparel brands who distribute brands such as Bench, Scotch and Soda and Silvian Heach.

Esprit is set to return this Spring 2016 with the locations TBA. Currently, Esprit is carried in more than 40 counties with approximately 900 retail stores worldwide. It will be exciting to see how Esprit does in North American the second time around.
