Retail Real Estate continues to grow in Saskatoon

Thursday, December 10, 2015

According to Colliers International, despite a fall in commodity market prices and an economic slowdown, more than 275-thousand square feet of retail was built in Saskatoon this year! Of the projects that have been completed this year, and the vacancy rates hovered around 4%.

Vice President of Retail, Keith Webb says the retail market will continue to strive for the next few years. However, retail sales only grew by 0.1%, which is significantly low for Saskatoon’s retail market – but it is predicted that Saskatchewan will return to normal levels of growth in 2016 and 2017.
